The core of SCA’s business is the forest, Europe’s largest private forest holding. Around this unique resource, we have built a well-developed value chain based on renewable raw material from our own and others’ forests.
SCA’s forests are managed long-term with the ambition to both produce more valuable raw materials and preserve and develop other values in the forest. Our goal is to have at least as much timber, biodiversity and nature experiences in our forests in the future as today. For every tree that is felled, we plant two to three new trees. SCA delivers 100 million tree seedlings every year, to our own forests and to external forest owners.
The SCA R&D Centre is the Group’s research and development hub, supporting business areas in their development and innovation efforts. It is home to cutting-edge expertise spanning the entire value chain, from raw materials to how our end products perform in customers’ processes.
